VOODOO Hockey Stick Shapes Explained

Which VOODOO Bow is Right for You?

Choosing a new hockey stick isn't just about carbon content or colour. One of the biggest factors affecting how a stick performs is its shape, also known as the bow.

Every VOODOO hockey stick is available in one of three carefully engineered bow profiles. Each shape is designed to suit a different style of play, from dependable all-round performance to specialist drag flicking.

The great thing about the VOODOO range is its simplicity. Once you've chosen the shape that matches your game, you simply pick the model and carbon level that suits your ability and budget.

What is a Hockey Stick Bow?

The bow is the curve built into the shaft of the hockey stick.
Where that curve sits changes how the stick behaves:

A higher, more traditional bow provides excellent control, passing and powerful hitting.
A lower bow makes it easier to perform modern skills such as 3D dribbling, aerial passes and quick ball lifting
A concave low bow adds even greater control for specialist drag flickers.

VOODOO offers three shape options, making it easy to choose the profile that suits your style of hockey.

VSB – VOODOO Standard Curve

The all-round performer

The VSB features a traditional 24mm bow positioned 250mm from the head of the stick.
This balanced profile delivers superb control, consistent passing and confident hitting, making it an excellent choice for players who want a stick capable of performing in every area of the game.
Whether you're defending, distributing from midfield or attacking, the VSB provides predictable performance and exceptional versatility.

Best for

✔ Defenders
✔ Midfielders
✔ All-round players
✔ Players wanting one stick for every situation

Bow: 24mm @ 250mm

VXL – VOODOO Xtreme Low Curve

Built for modern attacking hockey

The VXL moves the bow lower down the shaft to create a more aggressive profile.

With a maximum bow of 24.5mm positioned 200mm from the head, the VXL makes lifting the ball easier and encourages quick hands, fast dribbling and creative attacking play.

It's the perfect shape for players who enjoy taking on defenders, performing 3D skills and playing with speed and flair.

Best for

✔ Attacking midfielders
✔ Forwards
✔ 3D skills
✔ Aerial passes
✔ Fast dribbling

Bow: 24.5mm @ 200mm

VXC – VOODOO Xtreme Low Curve Concave

Designed for drag flick specialists

The VXC shares the same aggressive low bow as the VXL but adds a concave groove through the shaft.

This helps cradle the ball during drag flicks, providing extra control, precision and power for specialist set-piece players.

While perfectly capable in open play, the VXC is aimed at players who regularly perform aerials and drag flicks.

Best for

✔ Drag flick specialists
✔ Penalty corner attackers
✔ Advanced players
✔ Aerial specialists

Bow: 24.5mm @ 200mm with concave face

The VOODOO Difference

Unlike many manufacturers who offer numerous bow profiles across different stick ranges, VOODOO keeps things simple.

Every stick in the range—from the Mojo and Omega through to the Nemesis, Enigma and Limitless—is available in one of these three proven shapes.

Once you've found the shape that complements your style of play, choosing your next stick is simply a matter of selecting the model and carbon level that matches your performance needs.

That means less confusion, easier comparisons and complete confidence that you're choosing the right stick for your game.
